Course Description Oral health is important across all lifespans and particularly during pregnancy. Considerations in oral health management involve "two patients" and all proposed treatment must provide a benefit to the mother while minimizing risk to the fetus. Oral disease has been implicated in adverse pregnancy outcomes, and may lead to early childhood caries (ECC) in the newborn child. Managing oral disease during pregnancy is critical to the health of both mother and her unborn child. Utilizing the latest Evidence Based Research, treatment guidelines during pregnancy will be presented as a Live, Online, and Fully Interactive, Dental Webinar. (Full description, bio, disclosure).
